Featuring Picture-on-Wall Design, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, LG OLED TV Delivers Unrivaled Home Cinema Experience.
September 12, 2017 at Ascott Hotel, Taguig, Philippines, LG celebrates its 5th year of LG OLED TV along with the launching of 77-Inch LG Signature OLED TV. Together with the presence of Mr. Inkwun Heo, LG Managing Director; Tony An, Vice President of Home Entertainment, LG Electronics; James Deakin, International Journalist and Brand Ambassador; Angelica Dumlao of LG Philippines; and in partnership with Abenson led by the Abenson General Manager Ms. Aurora Mendoza.
LG is one of the world’s leading innovator of technology from mobile devices to home appliances, which made possible by LG’s four business units – Home Entertainment, Mobile Communications, Home Appliance & Air Solution, and Vehicle Components – who continues to improve their brand in terms of quality service.
LG is committed to improve customer satisfaction, and allowing them to experience the full potential and benefits of smart TV technology. When you have an LG appliance at your home, there is no question to its durability. After 5 years of LG OLED TV, Home Entertainment – a LG Company – launched a new era of TV innovation – the OLED TV (Organic Light Emitting Diodes), and setting a new standard for high quality entertainment in the TV market.
LG OLED TV has 5 Perfect Reasons: Perfect Angle, Perfect Black, Perfect Color, Perfect Design, and Perfect HDR. That being said; what else do we know about 77-inch LG Signature OLED TV?
LG OLED TV Features and Specifications
LG OLED TV color accuracy is 12 times better, and the contrast ratio is 2,000 times better compared to LCD TVs. Which means that images are always clear and vivid in any angle. Watching at the side will show the same color quality, while watching at the center. Tony An, Vice President of Home Electronics, also pointed out that “Other developers aim to increase brightness to improve picture quality. The problem with that strategy is, if you reduce brightness some of the colors are eliminated, thus decreasing the picture quality. With LG OLED TV, we aim to improve picture quality first, so that it won’t be affected when you change the level of brightness. This makes the customers enjoy their favorite TV shows with perfect colors without damaging their eyes, especially the children.”
LG OLED TV is the only TV that can express more than 20 stops of brightness, and supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10. Also, it adjusts light by pixel basis, allowing it to express true black, which is 200 times better than LCD TV.
Netflix highly recommend that you watch their show using LG OLED TV. It is the only TV that passed the standards of Netflix when it comes to expressing true picture and sound quality.
The audio system that makes LG OLED TV exceptionally great is Dolby Atmos. This is the first time Dolby Atmos has ever been featured in TV speakers, and only LG has it. This compliments with the perfect image quality of LG OLED TV, that provides perfect cinematic experience for the viewers.
Having LG and Dolby combined in a single appliance is like a dream come true! I am a self-confessed gamer, and my mind is already blown imagining the 77-Inch LG Signature OLED TV plugged to a PS4 or XBOX. James Deakin said that his family is having a challenging time sleeping, because they just can’t get enough with the 77-Inch LG Signature OLED TV.
As far as the design is concerned, Picture-on-Glass as they call it, is a seamless combination of paper-thin 2.57mm OLED panel and transparent glass plate that adds a touch of simplicity and elegance in your home. The 77-inch LG Signature OLED TV is a flawless combination of home appliance and elegant furniture. With its picture-perfect quality, James Deakin further confessed that he sometimes fools himself overlooking at a window while having a massage, when he’s just watching the screensaver.
One unique feature that makes LG OLED TV different from other Smart TVs is its upgraded remote control. It has a voice command, where you can just say anything you want to search. This function saves the hassle of typing the letters one by one. James Deakin said, “We watch TV to relax, and this feature greatly reduced one of the disadvantages of Smart TV remotes.”
That is, by far, what we know about the new 77-Inch LG Signature OLED TV. It looks very promising. Trust me, I saw it with my own eyes. It was majestic in every way. However, this is not the ultimate breakthrough of Smart TVs. It only took 5 years for LG to reach this level of smart TV innovation. Imagine what they can do in the next 5 years. We will be expecting more from LG in the coming future.
