TOYOTA GAZOO Racing rally performance car now available in automatic transmission
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is taking driving excitement to the next level with the launch of the New GR Yaris, now available in both manual transmission (MT) and an all-new automatic transmission (AT). Enthusiasts can get their hands on this high-performance machine starting March 6, 2025.
A Rally-Bred Powerhouse
Born from Toyota’s World Rally Championship (WRC) legacy, the New GR Yaris embodies Toyota Motor Corporation Chairman Akio Toyoda’s philosophy that “roads build cars.” With motorsports serving as a crucial testing ground, Toyota continuously pushes the limits of performance engineering to develop even better, faster, and more capable vehicles for the road.
Bold Design, Built for Speed
The New GR Yaris boasts a more aerodynamic and aggressive exterior, further emphasizing its rally-inspired heritage. The vehicle sits on 18-inch 225/40 aluminum-forged wheels, complemented by LED headlights, daytime running lights, rear combination lamps, and a rear spoiler for a sportier look.
Power and Precision Under the Hood
At the heart of the New GR Yaris is a G16E-GTS 1.6L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, delivering an enhanced 280 PS of power and 390 Nm of torque. Designed to dominate both city streets and race tracks, it now features:

✅ New sub radiator and intercooler spray for improved cooling and enhanced performance
For the first time, the GR Yaris comes in two distinct transmission options:
🚗 1.6L Turbo A/T – Features an 8-speed direct shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters for seamless gear changes
🚗 1.6L Turbo M/T – Equipped with a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission, delivering full control and a pure driving experience
Driver-Centric Interior with Smart Technology
Inside, the New GR Yaris is designed for both comfort and convenience, featuring:
🎯 12.3-inch full TFT meter display with a tire pressure monitoring system
🎯 7-inch touchscreen display audio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
🎯 Upgraded safety features, including a back monitor, intelligent clearance sonar, and Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) with Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
Additionally, the A/T variant comes with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, while the M/T variant is equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control, ensuring a safer and more controlled drive.
